About: Dedicated to Dogs
At Woofside, your dog’s comfort is my top priority. Knowing that each dog is unique, I focus on one client at a time to provide a calm, safe environment tailored to your dog's unique personality..
I’m Lisa, a fully qualified groomer (Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management). I can't wait to help your pup look and smell their best! See what my clients are saying here.

With your dog and our planet in mind, I use only the best, most natural products, whether a simple bath and brush or a full groom with a clip and styling.
All our shampoos and conditioners have been selected for being gentle but effective for dogs and there are a range of products to suit all coat types including sensitive skin. The products use natural ingredients, and they are made in the UK using sustainable and fair operating practices.
The salon benefits from energy from solar panels (weather
permitting) and I use sustainable but safe cleaning products and work hard to reuse and recycle without compromising cleanliness.

Frequently Asked Questions
Below are brief answers to questions I'm often asked. However, if you are interested in more information, I have provided it with links to reputable sources under the menu Services, Do You Offer...?
How long does a Signature Groom take?
An average Signature Groom takes about 2.5 hours.
It does depend on the coat length and type e.g. curly or silky straight, and what condition it's in. If the coat has knots or matting, it will take longer.
What if my dog is anxious?
I have quite a bit of experience with nervous dogs, it's one of the reasons I only work one-to-one. By allowing sufficient time for each groom, your dog has time to adjust, settle and get used to me and the space. The whole salon has been designed to provide a calm and safe environment using light, sound and scent.
Can you also express anal glands?
No, sorry. All the scientific research confirms that a trained vet or veterinary nurse should do it. Incorrect technique can lead to pain, infection, and anal sac rupture, especially with external expression. Vets can perform internal expressions for complete emptying and to check for abnormalities like growths, which we are not trained to do.
Do you offer teeth cleaning?
I've researched this and chosen not to. The science shows that cleaning once every 6-10 weeks just won't make a difference. Studies have shown that dogs, like humans, need their teeth cleaned every day to avoid plaque and gingivitis. I do sell select dental treats approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council that have proven benefits on canine dental health.
Do you provide Ear Plucking?
In short, Yes, but only if recommended by your vet. This has been the subject of ongoing debate among vets and groomers as plucking has been known to cause minor injuries, known as micro-traumas, provide entry points for bacteria and can lead to infection.
